Junior Doctor Strike

New junior doctor strike dates : 13 – 18 July

The British Medical Association has called for junior doctors in the NHS in England to take strike action from 7am on Thursday 13 July to 7am on Tuesday 18 July.

This means you should not attend any shifts starting after 6:59am on Thursday 13 July. You can then attend any shifts starting from 7am on Tuesday 18 July. Read our guidance on what to do on the day.

NHS General Practice services are extremely busy as coronavirus infection rates continue to rise; however, we will continue to help you receive urgent and non-urgent medical care when you need it.

Most consultations are over the phone or via video link. This is to keep everyone safe, and most patients have found this to be very convenient.
Following the initial telephone or video consultation, if a face-to-face consultation is felt to be necessary, this will be arranged without delay.
You can also contact 111, day or night, for other urgent health advice – including concerns about Covid-19 symptoms.
Please remember that 999 and A&E are for emergencies only.
The practice offers extended hours GP service during the evenings and weekends.
Please help reduce infections, protect the NHS and keep each other safe by following the latest rules:
